The Riley Family!

We are lucky enough to have Family that also enjoy the show arena. Patrick "Kip" Riley is World Class in showmanship and the pleasure circuit, and our nephew Brady Hart has already won 2 saddles and been a top 1D open and youth pole bender & barrel racer. We are proud and happy to have the support of them and both of our loving families!

2022

  • October 26, 2022 Finally! This one is MINE! This time around, it’s ME getting to hold MY horse, and yep… that is my bronze Congress trophy! I have been in that win picture before…with Brannon, of course (8 times at Congress to be exact)… But FINALLY… Dreams came true for ME; as I crossed the timer line and it read 20.455 in the Amateur Select Pole bending class. Since I was a young kid going to THE ALL-AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE CONGRESS… I had been in awe of the prestigious show and how impressive it was to win such a class at that show. I have been showing there since I was a youth. No doubt it is my favorite show. I had longed to win a class there and dreamt of that day, never knowing if it would come true. So, the 2022 Congress turned out to be very special. I didn’t think it could top last year, but I have always had that goal on my mind. Crewzer Dan, aka “Lyle with a Smile” started out running 14th in the 1st go of the Pole Sweeps with a 20.628, he then came back in the 2nd go to run a PB of a 20.482 and make the cut for the top 20 into the FINALS! IT was then on Sunday morning that we hit our goal. We warmed up with a 12th place in the Amateur Select Barrels, and then fired up the engines for the Pole class…and BAM! Tears were shed! My dreams became reality! Best feeling ever and such a beautiful day to make things even better! Of course, I must not forget Brannon and Mite B A Bully “Ricky”, he also had a good Congress. Placing 6th in one of the toughest Jr. Horse Pole classes with a 20.209, also running a 20.283 to make it back to the Pole Sweepstakes Finals. We both had troubles in the Finals, but as the saying goes, that’s just pole bending!

  • July 4th 2022 -Summer Jam and Happy 4th of July! Blessed to enjoy our freedoms, live in this beautiful land and have the good fortunes to show horses and be with friends and family! NBHA Summer Jam was a super nice show, and the magnificent Garwood facility. Ran Mite BA Bully and Crewzer Dan – both taking 4th in the Open Poles – one Friday and the other Saturday, with over 90+ in the classes. Good times with good people and a well-run show! I had to mention Lyle with a Smile’s new Personal Best – of a 20.471 run.

  • June 19th 2022 - It was an emotional weekend, but I am happy to say, I found the “good” in good-bye with my mare, Lottery Time Bulzeye to a wonderful family from Oklahoma! A heartfelt congrats to Miss Saige and Leigh Leven and special thanks to Mr. David & Miss Roxie Mavis. I am confident that Saige had the “fire” and skills needed to team up with Lottie! Looking forward to hearing about the success of these two in the future! #sassyandsweet #marepower #horseswithheart #polebending

  • May 7th 2022 Burnin’ it up… my boy Lyle was on fire at Riverland arena this Saturday! He WON the Poles and was 2nd in the Open Barrels! Lottie and Ricky were running well too, but had the unfortunate thing called gravity… as knocks kept them out of the money. On to the next one… and some nicer weather! Enjoy the good times! #combohorse #ridewithasmile

April 7, 2022 Crewzer Dan was cruising through … and WON the Open Jackpot Barrels at Riverland Arena on Tuesday night! Running a 16.063… Lyle did make me Smile 😊 for sure! ~ Kelly #BulzeyeDan #Werunbarrelstoo #Ridewithasmile

  • Feb. 2, 2022 The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo - AQHA Show & Timed Event Challenge! What a wonderful venue and break for us. But Mother Nature found us in Texas and brought a Winter Storm to delay our travels home, but thankfully we were in good spirits! We had a fun time with friends at the FWSSR. We were blessed to get Ricky and Lottie back in the top 10 (6th and 8th) of the Timed Event Challenge. Ricky & Lyle were 1st & 2nd in Junior Poles as well. Click to watch the highlight runs!

  • Dec. 19th, 2021 KISSMAS and Triple Crown Champions! Mite B A Bully, aka Ricky wrapped up the season with a Win in the NPBA Futurity, and sealed the Deal for his Sire, A MITEY SWEET GUY as the TC STALLION, Running a 20.3, and then running a 19.9 to take 2nd out of 90+ in the Open. Lyle ran 21.0 and sadly, the pole results still had yet to be posted for the entire class. Video on YouTube.

  • Nov. 28th, 2021 It might have been called The Blackout Race, but Mite B A Bully, aka Ricky & Brannon were RED HOT as they were on fire in the poles this weekend! Claiming both win’s on Friday and Saturday and the SLOT Race Champion as well. Ricky and Brannon smoked a 19.897 Friday and then 20.076 Saturday with close to 90 pole horses each day at the beautiful facility of Garwood Arena. Kelly and Crewzer Dan ended up 6th Saturday running 20.875, but the weekend belonged to Ricky. Thanks to the ladies putting on a fantastic show, the great announcer, all of the folks working behind the scene at Garwood to allow us to show there and keep making improvements, and to our horse show friends and family! We have so much to be thankful for! Until the next show, enjoy the ride! Oh, you can also enjoy this new site to view show results…https://sgpevents.net/

  • Oct. 28, 2021 THE All-American Quarter Horse Congress. That is a show that always seems to leave one full of memories. This year was no exception, but rather the AMAZING memories were to be for ME, Kelly; rather than those of my husband Brannon. Not saying I don’t cherish his victories or accomplishments, but this year I was finally the one with the good vibes! I honestly had so many wonderful moments, from my BEST friend winning the Congress Amateur Pole Class (yes, Kudos to Sarah Fackler and Jet) to a young up-and coming Youth asking for my autograph (I was honored!), to running my first ever 19 second pole run, and making it back to the Sweepstakes Finals to getting Reserve in Am Select Poles on my colt. This Congress was by far my best Congress. So, we took our 3 horses, and all 3 placed and brought home medallions. Mite B A Bully “Ricky”, and Brannon took 3rd in Jr. Poles with a 20.449, was 11th in the 1st go of the Sweepstakes and made it back to the Finals. He ended up 15th due to knocked poles in the Finals. Ricky also took 6th in Amateur Poles with a 20.582. Crewzer Dan, aka Lyle with a Smile ended up 2nd in Amateur Select Poles with a 20.878, and 12th in the Amateur Select Barrels. And my Lottery Time Bulzeye was the big surprise. Lottie ended up 10th in the 1st go of the Pole Sweeps with a 20.285, then 5th in the 2nd go with a 19.914 (yes, I will post that video!) and then we came back in the Sweepstakes and knocked, but still ended up 14th. Lottie also placed 4th in Amateur Select Barrels with a 15.457… Quarter Horse Congress was full of great friends, and lasting memories. One for the record books. And now… as always, on to the next show. So, to our Friends in Oklahoma at the AQHA World Show, good luck, ride hard & safe travels! Thanks to all my friends & family for your continued support! #aaqhc

  • Oct. 10th, 2021 Stacked Show , Stacked with great runs! WOW...the competition is always stacked at Circle G's and the McWilliams Stacked Show! But RICKY was on top again, running 2- 19's plaing 2nd out of 90+ and then 3rd in the High Rollers. Lyle had a PB of a 20.5, and Lottie was just one spot out of placing in the Double Down combo - Barrel and Pole average!

  • Sep. 19, 2021 Time flies when you’re having fun…and the past three weeks sure has gone by fast! Our local Wayne County Fair just ended…and we wrapped up the NPBA Finals and then went right to the Indiana Barrel Futurity. So, I’ll try to make this a recap! At the NPBA Finals, Brannon & Ricky, Mite B A Bully took 2nd in the NPBA Triple Crown Futurity, 3rd in the class 20.254. They also ended up 4th in the 1D Amateur Poles Average…out of 95 tough horses! Kelly and Crewzer Dan, Lyle also placed 4th in the Average in Amateur Poles in the 2D, and Lottery Time Bulzeye ran 20.629, ending up last in the 2D but 14th overall out of 178 Open Pole Horses! Then on to Indiana Barrel Futurity! Lyle with a Smile put a smile on Kelly’s face when he won the 2D on Saturday’s go round in the Futurity! Overall, we had a wonderful time with friends and great memories. Now it’s time for some R & R and of course a trail ride or two… Enjoy the “green gold” and have a September to remember!

  • August 28,2021 Another weekend in the books… the BEST of the BEST (BOTB) hosted by OTR by Dawn & Clea – celebrating 10 years- and at the Taft Coliseum – yes, where we run at Congress! Kudos to the entire crew for a fabulous show! Our time there did not disappoint. Things were heating up… in the arena (and certainly outside) but Mite B A Bully aka “Ricky” and Brannon clocked a 20.096 & then a 19.852 to take 2nd in both go’s out of 92 & 99 in the poles! Kelly and Lottery Time Bulzeye got back into the top 20 Finals with a 20.665…but gravity happened to of us in the Finals! Congrats to our friends that did so well, and for the great times we had the show! We are blessed. Make sure you check out the runs on Youtube!

  • August 22, 2021 “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.” As so I, did, with my mare Lottie. We all know pole bending is humbling! Every weekend is a new one, and from Liberty, Ky to Swanton, Ohio we had two fabulous shows with our trio of horses. Lottie & Kelly went from no luck in Kentucky to redemption… winning the Poles Friday (20.679) and placing 4th Saturday (20.853) at That Show at WB in Swanton. While Kelly & Crewzer Dan had a good show in Kentucky, running 20.808 (3rd -2D Friday) and 20.783 (5th in the 2D Saturday) to “gravity happens” at WB! As for Mr. Consistent…that would be Brannon. Mite B A Bully, has been wonderful. At the Battle for the Bluegrass Show… “Ricky” ran 20.547 (1st -2D), 20.286 (3rd in the NPBA Futurity) and 20.309 (4th in the 1D) and then ran 20.795 (3rd) Saturday at Swanton, Oh at That Show, a memorial for our best friend… Bob Lloyd. We are grateful to be able to show at these awesome shows, thankful for the sponsors, and to all those hard-working people making it happen! We look forward to more coming up! See you down the road! Enjoy the ride!

  • Summer Smiles. Lyle with a Smile, aka Crewzer Dan has had me, (Kelly) smiling at the past two shows…the NBHA Summer Jam and the WBS Summer Brew; both held at Garwood Arena...in July. At the NBHA Show, Lyle ran 20.790…5th overall in the Open Poles. Then at this past weekend, he ran 20.906…landing us 8th overall, but winning the 2D out of 80+ horses! Always thankful to have these wonderful shows to attend, the sponsors, the staff and crew that make it all happen…and certainly am thankful to have my horses working for me! Looking forward to a HUGE line up of Pole Bending and Barrel Shows in the month of August! Keep the good times rollin’ and enjoy the summer friends! #ridewithasmile #thanksali #mynewluckyshirts #bringinghomethebacon #going2getfaster #bulzeyedan

  • June 6th 2021... So long, Dear Friend... BITTERSWEET. That might be how we can describe all the events that transpired over the past weekend. To start with, we said farewell to our beloved REDNECK RIO. We wish all the success and best wishes to Miss Morgan in Texas and we hope this young lady and Rio team up for a winning combo! And so…the show must go on… at C BAR C, the Main Event, Lottery Time Bulzeye and Kelly started right Friday running a 20.195, 9th out of 135 tough pole horses! And Crewzer Dan…aka Lyle with a Smile, got his groove back (and a lucky shirt helped from his breeder, Ali Ebey Smith) and ran 3 clean runs 20.9, 20.8 and 20.9 all weekend. But the best was saved for last, with Brannon and “Ricky” in the NPBA Triple Crown Futurity. Mite B A Bully, took home the WIN and ran a 20.038! Lots of very exciting and talented horses and riders at the NPBA Main Event Show, and we appreciate all the work and effort to make this show possible!

  • May 16th-17th 2021...Rio’s rockin & rollin’ at THE APPRECIATION SHOW hosted by Leonard’s Truck & Trailers and held at the new and expanding Garwood Arena in Columbiana, Ohio! On Friday Redneck Rio and Brannon placed 2nd with 20.1 as Chip Nicholson and One Rare Redneck ran a 19.9 to take the field of 92… Mite B A Bully “Ricky” also ran 20.3 and took 5th place Friday. But then on Saturday… Rio let loose and blazed through the weave with a 19.572… followed by a very tough class of over 100+ pole horses! We do appreciate the show Sponsors & awards - Leonard’s….and WOW…the most energetic and well run ring-crew, staff, tractor drivers and show producers! Thanks again for another great weekend!

  • May 2021...“County Roads…take me home…to the place I belong….” West Virginia… I always think of that song by John Denver as we went to Winfield, WV this past weekend for the WV Barrel Futurity. MITE B A BULLY or “Ricky” and Brannon won the 1st go with a 17.2 then and ended up as Reserve Champions in the average! Kelly and Crewzer Dan aka “Lyle with a Smile” were solid in the 2D, winning the 2D in the 1st go with a 18.2 and placing 2nd in the 2D in the 2nd go. Lyle also won 2D money in the Poles and Redneck Rio was in his groove as he was 4th in the 1D Friday and 2nd in the 1D Saturday in the $1000 added NPBA Poles. We were happy to see many old friends and faces and want to say a special thank you to Edwin and Jane Roush for the beautiful wooden award stool and hosting the Futurity. Also, thanks to KISS Stallions for their support and to the entire office and show staff! It was another wonderful weekend.

  • While Kelly did some winter showing... Brannon and Rio took a break, so RIO was ready ... and it was Return of the Jedi… or return of Rio… the BEAST OF THE EAST in Poles was Redneck Rio this weekend at the fabulous show put on by Chip and Lisa Nicholson…as Rio and Brannon took home the WIN all 3 DAYS! Thankful to have Rio, and thankful to have such wonderful shows and showplaces like the new Garwood Arena in Columbiana Ohio! It was a very well-run show and we want to thank all the sponsors, workers, ground and ring crew and many people that made it possible. Rio and Brannon ran 19.880 Friday – 1st out of 128, 19.985 on Saturday -1st out of 159 and then 19.916 on Sunday 1st out of 102 … so impressive to have such a great turn out for POLE BENDING! Kelly and Lottery Time Bulzeye ran 20.246 on Sunday for 4th place in the Open Poles. Lottie then ran 16.583 in the Open 4D Barrels on Saturday, out of 330 entries…ended up in the 2D. We are happy to have so many big shows coming up…and hopefully will be able to keep the good news coming. The hard part is getting videos while we are both competing… the struggle is real! Happy Spring everyone, and may you all be blessed with the return of things that bring you joy!

2020

Well... what can we say about 2020? ...

  • Out with a Bang...in 2020...We didn't plan on our last show of 2020 being in November, but it was, and it was another fantastic one! The Golden Harvest Show at Garwood Arena in Columbiana, Oh is were Brannon & Redneck Rio took another buckle home for the fastest time of the weekend - running a 19.905 (over 90+ Pole horses Saturday.) He was 2nd Friday with 80+ entries. Kelly and Lottery Time Bulzeye also cashed in, running 3rd on Friday 20.471, and then 4th on Saturday 20.803. They also won money in the barrels running 16.356 - 2nd in Masters. See the video - here & also in our LINKS page. And Best wishes to all for a healthy and happy 2021!

  • Congress Cancelled? OMG...The shows go on! So we're happy to have had some amazing shows to go to in the month of October despite QH Congress being cancelled. A special event held here in the Buckeye State by On the Road with Dawn and Clea was the VIP Pole & Barrel Race. Well, Brannon & Redneck Rio took home Top HONORS and WON the VIP Poles with a 19.919, and 2nd in the warn up poles. Lottery Time Bulzeye and Kelly ended up 4th in the warm up poles with a 20.421. Thanks to Joel, Michelle and Jeanette Flickinger at Riverland Arena as well making this event great!

  • Kelly’s confession… I wasn’t expecting my 3 year old, Crewzer Dan – whom I call Lyle (better known as Lyle with a Smile)… to surpass the goals I set for him already this year. To say I am thrilled is an understatement. First, at a very tough Pole Bending Show at Circle G – the Stacked Super Show Oct. 9-11th – and he ran a 20.738, and ended up in the 1st Division Friday night. I was ecstatic! Then on Saturday, he ran 21.675…hit a bulzeye in the big Open Poles, out of 106…winning the 3D – with a 21.624 and won the KISS 3D sidepot! Then, Oct. 17th at Garwood Arena’s Bucking Nightmare Show, he went to a new arena, without any exhibition and worked a very nice set of poles, running a 21.308….It wasn’t until the next day that I found out we won the 2D, out of 160 horses! He won a buckle and jacket and prizes! I was so excited… And to make it special, his brother… Dashin Rene Dan; called Marcus- that we sold this summer to our friend John Skipper, was the 3D winner, running 22.326. So, the Bulzeye Boys – both 3 year old’s – won the 2D & 3D Poles at Garwood! How cool is that? It makes all those long training days and the wait worth it! Watch the video here - OR go to the links page!

  • Mr. Consistent… Good Ole’ Redneck Rio! At the jam-packed SUPER STACKED SHOW Oct. 9-11…loaded with many of the best pole horses and riders in the country… Rio pulled through! To describe how tough the field was…Brannon and Rio ran a 19.847 on the last day – Sunday’s Open Poles…and ended up seventh! But that was the lowest he placed all weekend. His magic number was 3 – he took 3rd – three times – 20.001, 19.900 and 19.856 – with the salty Open Class of 106 entries and the action packed and thrilling High Roller Class Saturday night, Rio and Brannon were riding right! They ended the weekend with a 19.847 – and that also landed them 5th place in Sunday’s Pole Finals. We cherish Rio, his great heart and attitude, and are thankful to be able to show at wonderful shows like the Super Stacked Show – among family and great friends! It was a wonderful event, and great competition…no doubt!

  • Sept 4-6th: NPBA Finals! What a rollercoaster weekend. But a rollercoaster’s are fast and fun! Mite B A Bully was our big winner and we were very proud of this 3-year-old. He clocked a 20.715 to win the Kindergarten class and then ran a 20.533 in the Open. Crewzer Dan, our other youngster had an off weekend, but still managed to run a 21.685 in the Open and drew a check in the Kg 3D. We were both pretty thrilled when we started Friday evening in the Amateur class taking 3rd and 4th place out of 85 tough competitors. Brannon and Rio ran 20.247 while Kelly and Lottery Time Bulzeye ran a 20.319. Saturday didn’t go as expected (and it was a long day) – but many can agree….That’s POLE BENDING… However,… RIO did run in the Fastest Pole Bending – and clocked a 20.0 to end up 6th out of 25 of the toughest running horses there! A very thrilling class to watch! And finally, good ole Redneck Rio blasted off a 19.871 in the 2nd go of the Open to end up 4th out of 178 pole bending horses! We would like to thank the many sponsors, the NPBA for the Finals and for putting on such a nice show, and always KISS Stallions – for their support of the Poles and programs. And a shout out to Cathy Geary – our friend for selling us “Ricky” – Mite B A Bully – out of her Stallion – A Mitey Sweet Guy.

  • August 22nd - Rockstar Rio and Brannon’s – latest win – a smokin’ 19.540 and great prep for the upcoming NPBA Finals! The run at THAT SHOW – and Memorial for our dear friend Bob Lloyd. We would like to thank Jamie N Kitty Montooth, the many sponsors, WB Arena and the entire crew for such a great and special show…it was very much appreciated!

  • Fast times were a Brewin’ at Garwood Arena’s Summer Brew Show…July 11th ...and Brannon and Rio weaved through with a smoking win of 19.854, while our nephew Brady Hart and Trigger were an impressive second with a 20.058 in a tough field of 85 in the NPBA Open Pole Class. Kelly and Lottie had a nice run as well clocking a 20.850. All of the horses did well in the Open Barrels, but every in the 250+ class was chasing Brad Shirey’s burning run of a 15.217…Brannon and Rio were 12th in the class with a 16.034, while Brady and Trigger ended up 3rd in the 3D with 16.233, and Kelly and Lottie ran 16.380 placing in the 3D in the Masters sidepot. We want to thank Lora White, Garwood Arena, the X-Crew and everyone that made it a wonderful show! Lots of fun and a great place! Good times were a brewin’ for sure! Let’s hope we can keep doing what we love…and everyone stay healthy and safe! Videos are posted in the LINKS tab.

  • NBHA Summer Jam South - Jackson Arena - July 2nd & 3rd : Brannon and Redneck Rio rolled in with a 2nd place run in the Poles Thursday, while Kelly and Lottery Time Bulzeye took 3rd on Friday… and when the door is left open…. You run through it! SO Kelly and Lottie ended up taking the Win in the KISS Money side-pot in the Poles as well on Friday! We had a good time visiting with friends and showing! Life’s a ride… enjoy it!

  • WFH - Stay at HOME... thankfully we can RIDE at home. And enjoy our horses, animals, barns and being at HOME!

  • We were lucky enough to start ~ prior to the MAJOR outbreak in the USA ~ with a fun and stress-free show - the famed, FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW & RODEO... mainly the AQHA Show & Timed Event Challenge. It did not disappoint! Kelly got to experience this amazing venue for the first time and took Lottie (Lottery Time Bulzeye) & Brannon took Rio (Redneck Rio)... Both of them made it back to the top 65 Finals & Brannon & Rio were in the Fast 5 Finals, taking 2nd on Wednesday evening. It was a fun and wonderful show... ending on February 5th 2020. Little did we know...it was to be the last show we went for quite a while. Coronavirus & the pandemic hit!

  • AUGUST...a big Pole BENDING MONTH in the BUCKEYE STATE... Starting with the Bob Lloyd Memorial Show in Swanton, Oh at the WB Ranch... Brannon & Rio were unbeatable. Literally. They WON both days of the Poles. 114 Friday & 121 Saturday. Clocking the only set of 19's... And then Kelly and Lottie had a great weekend by running a personal best of 20.5. Both horses ran great in the barrels too! Then...Labor Day Weekend …a labor of LOVE… for the people, sport and animals we care so much about! It’s impossible to summarize the emotions and tally all of the runs, times, or put together a list of everyone we’d like to thank. But at Circle G Arena in Lewisburg, Oh the NPBA SUPER SHOW was star-studded! Needless to say, we have been blessed with some winning horses, fast runs, and walked away with nice prizes! Two great shows…in memory of two very special competitors that are dearly missed. August in Ohio was full of great pole bending and barrel racing competition. Please watch the videos. • May 21st 2019 - RIP ~Rest in Peace…my dear HANKS GO CUTIE. It doesn’t seem that long ago…But I remember...25 years ago when Brannon and I looked and you as a 2 year old…I knew there was something special about you. At the age of 27, you gained your wings. So many memories and great times you gave us. A mighty mare with a huge heart and all try. Luckily she retired happily at my parents and I am thankful for that, along with the memories we will always cherish. It’s not the 19 seconds of fame in the arena, but it’s the miles and smiles along the way…that got you there that you remember. Until we ride again, run free Cutie! Watch a tribute video of Cutie here.

  • May 18th - we were again at another NPBA Regional Show - this time in Kentucky. With 105 in the Open 4D Poles, Brannon and Rio held steady running 4th with a 20.2. Lottie and Kelly ran 21.2 in the Junior/Futurity and won the 2D Poles and Brady and Trigger ran 21.1 and was 3rd in the Youth Poles! The smoke had settled as Rio ran out with a 19.4 but left a pole on the ground in the Adult/Masters Pole Class.... that's pole bending!

  • Rio’s rollin’… he had some smokin’ runs against some very tough competition at the IKI Indiana NPBA Regional State Show May 10th & 11th– and WON both Friday’s NPBA Pole class and Saturday’s Pole class – clocking a 19.969 on Friday and then a 19.839 on Saturday. Lottie ran tough in the barrels, running in the 2D - half second off both days - out of 142 & 163 horses! It was a very well run show and pleasure to be around great competition and see a lot of our friends! Thanks to the KISS $ sponsors and everyone that did a wonderful job hosting the show! Watch Rio's run on Youtube!

NPBA members represented the Pole Bending big time! Brannon and Rio took 2nd in the Senior Pole Bending, 3rd in Amateur Poles, and 3rd in the Jud Little Amateur Fast Five.

  • Sadly, we were shocked, as so many were when we heard of the passing of a Pole Bending Legend...the great Redneck Jet. He is, of course, Redneck Rio's sire. But an amazing legend are all of his get in the pole bending world and their impact on the sport. RIP great Jet. How fitting that Rio ended the 2018 year by being the AQHA Hi-Point Jr. Pole Horse, as well as the Hi-Point Amateur Pole Bending Horse with Brannon? I believe the Sr. High Pole Horse was also a Redneck - Sizzlin' Redneck!

From the Tobin Family: (1996-2019)

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Redneck Jet on January 11th, 2019. While we know his legacy will live on and the Redneck nation is strong, it feels like the end of an era.

2018

  • Congrats to Kelly and Lottery Time Bulzeye as she finished the year with a PB at the KISSMASS show in December, placing 3rd in the NPBA Futurity with a 20.632!

  • Rio was unstoppable in Kentucky when we stopped at the (NAILE) North American International Livestock & Exposition AQHA show...he won all 3 of his pole classes...Junior, Amateur and the NAILE Open Poles! They put on a nice show there, and we appreciate it!

  • The AQHA WORLD SHOW recap -Jr. Pole Finals -So it came down to the last horse...a battle, a great race...both Champions...both friends, Brannon and Brian. Rio took the Reserve and Congrats to the repeat of Brian Foushee and Alli..those Rednecks were makin headlines! Now for Kelly and Lottie...what a trip...literally. So Lottie.... showed her true grit and trust... went in and gave Kelly everything, just after falling all the way down the run before. Although they hit...in the Finals of Level 3... the crazy run before in prelims (the fall)was the Finals for Level 2. They still ended up with a Reserve title. After watching the video (of my fall) Kelly realized how lucky she was... Lucky to be ridin' and lucky Lottie was fine. She was proud of her!

  • Trick or Treat... that’s how we can recap the 2018 Congress! It was quite a treat for Brannon & Rio, as most everyone knows... but we want to Congratulate Kip Riley on his top 5 performance in Amateur Select Trail on Won Good RV Machine “Bubba” and nephew Brady Hart on Must Be A Redneck “Trigger” on placing 3rd in the 14-18 Youth Pole Bending!!! It was a real treat to have such a great time... as for Kelly she ended up with tricks... but that’s Pole Bending... and the good news is... there’s always another show! Happy Halloween !

  • Ky State Fair AQHA show was a win for Bullzeye Bob & Brannon as they ran a 20.7 to win the Jr.Poles, and right behind him was Lottery Time Bulzeye taking 2nd in Jr.Poles. Kelly and Lottie also took 2nd in Jr Barrels and 5th in Amateur Barrels.

  • Congratulations to Nicole Koegel - she is Lightning Sugar Dixi's new mom! Wishing her all the best. I know this is a true match and good team. Wishing her the best and thankful that DIxi will be under Nicole's care!

RECAP of the 2018 NPBA FINALS:

  • It’s hard to put into words or a post all the emotions and results from this past weekend at the 2018 NPBA FINALS. But here we go… We started by honoring Bob Lloyd as he was inducted into the NPBA Hall of Fame and received the Sportmanship Award. All the horses we took (4) Redneck Rio, Bullzeye Bob, Lightning Sugar Dixi and Lottery Time Bulzeye placed and won money over the weekend…and our nephew Braeden (Brady) Hart did amazing with his 2 horses Must Be A Redneck and TT Redneck Legend. So Redneck Rio started off running 19.7- 2nd in the 1st go of 197 head in the Open 4D, ended up 2nd overall in the Average…and then thriller was the World’s Fastest Pole Bending on Saturday night…when by .003 – he was 2nd again running a 19.846 – BTW- Congrats to Nathan Peoples and Lightning Sky Bar on the 19.843! Kelly and Dixi placed in the 2D on Saturday with 20.828 and Lottery Time Bulzeye won the 2D in Sponsor/Director Race on Friday with a 21.0. Then there was our nephew Brady…back again to defend his Youth Title…on his 1st run in youth he smoked a 19.917 and with a tough 50 more kids, came back in the 2nd go to run a clean 20.2 and take the 1D title and win another Saddle! Proud of him! So that leaves Bullzeye Bob, the horse we call Jax. He also ran 2nd on Saturday in the Futurity/Jr. Poles out of 48 horses with a 20.303. But this year, the NPBA 3D Futurity was in Memory of Bob Lloyd. And for those of you that don’t already know this, Bob was Brannon’s best friend. So on Sunday…the LAST class was the Futurity class, and Brannon & Jax were 4th from last to run. Oh… yes, he WON it. But it was more than just a win. The then, the place was a ghost town…the show was over…but there was an ANGEL still there…Hugs Lloyd Family.:

  • At the Kentucky NPBA Regional Show -Redneck Rio and Brannon - made the winning run out of 92 in the class.... and his 20.1 was the fastest time of the weekend!

  • Brannon and Redneck Rio WON (20.3) the Amateur Poles and Kelly and Lightning Sugar Dixi took 4th (21.1) at the 2018 AQHA Houston Livestock Show. Then at Diamonds and Dirt in Waco,Texas Kelly and Dixi took home some prizes and money as well.

2016

  • To Recap 2016 is going to be very fun... quite the excellent year for the Riley family! Dans Flaming Venture aka "Vinny" was on fire most of the summer - and literally couldn't be beat in the poles. He had the fastest times starting in June at the NPBA Finals, to the Rebel Soule Show in July at the State Fair Grounds in Syracuse, NY to the Kentucky State Fair Show in August and the KISS/NPBA Regional Show in Falmouth, Kentucky. Vinny did a complete sweep at Louisville - he won all the classed he entered! He also showed his barrel racing skills in New York, and in Louisville, besting the fastest barrel time both at the Ky State Fair in August and back at the NAILE in November. He was Reserve Champion at the AAQH Congress in Junior Poles and Reserve Champion in the Average in the Pole Bending Sweepstakes, and then went to Oklahoma be be crowned Reserve AQHA Jr Pole Champion. Brannon and Vinny had another record setting year in 2016!

  • Big Brother Tucker - Speeed Ball Tucker also picked up a resesrve in Sr. Poles at the Ky State Fair, placed at Congress, and was fortunate to get a new owner this year - Lyle Putnam of New York. We are happy for this new team and expect great things for them!

  • Kelly and Lightning Sugar Dixi found their groove late in the year, as they placed 12th in both the Amateur and Junior Poles at the Quarter Horse Congress, then went on to OKC at the AQHA World Show and ended up 5th in Jr Poles and 9th in Amateur Poles.

Keeping it in the Family'

  • Kip -Patrick Riley - Wow! 2016 - he OWNED this year. We are so thrilled and happy for Brannon's brother - a lifelong dream - he WON the AQHA Select World Champion in Showmanship and then went to Columbus and WON the Congress Showmanship class, and was Reserve in Select Horsemanship, with his amazing horse Solo Invested! He has been leading the NATION all year in both classes and will end the year as the leading select amateur exhibitor. Very impressive....and quite an accomplishment!

  • And our Niece and Nephew, Morgan and Brady Hart - their 1st time showing at the QH Congress with their horse "Trigger" - Must Be A Redneck - and they both place everytime they ran! Morgan was 12th in Novice Amateur Poles and Brady was 4th in Youth Poles, and Reserve Champion in Novice Amateur Poles!

  • The NPBA (National Pole Bending Association) Finals 2016 were a very special one this year for us! We kicked off the weekend with a huge honor as Brannon was inducted into the NPBA Hall of Fame as Exhibitor. He was given his award by his longtime pole bending "idol" and 13 time AQHA World Champion, Mr. Ross Caranahan (pictured). Along with his induction, Kelly read a speech about Brannon's accomplishment' s and also put together a video that went with that speech.
